Annie Moctezuma

Math Teacher

Annie Moctezuma is the founder of LMA Tutoring. She began instructing high school math students since 2005. She started teaching Geometry to sophomores in the Secondary Education Internship program at William Fremd High School located in Palatine, Illinois. After high school, Annie studied Mathematics with a sequence in education at Illinois State University. Throughout her studies, she tutored in the Developmental Math Lab and also became an Assistant Teacher for the Intermediate Algebra course at her university. She also had the opportunity to teach college students weekly in the Intermediate Algebra course. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Annie taught high school math for 3 years in Illinois, then moved to Texas, where she taught Geometry at Sachse High School. She then made a change and found herself working full time as a Center Director at Mathnasium. She is now private tutoring for her business LMA Tutoring since 2017.

Annie loves helping students grow in their mathematical abilities. Her approach to students begins with demonstrating that she cares about the individual. She is then able to determine learning styles and customize her approach, whether the student needs kinesthetic, auditory, visual, or reading/writing to learn the math. Annie hopes to reach students all throughout the Dallas area.
